Two toddlers died in gun accidents today.  One found a gun and shot himself, the other was shot by a young sibling.

Three-year old Bryson Skinner died after finding in a handgun in his home and shooting himself by accident.  A related 22-year adult and his girlfriend were arrested and charged with felony child abuse.

A four-year old Laporte, Texas boy was shot and killed, most likely after a gun was accidentally fired by an older sibling.  The child was flown to a hospital where he later died.  There is an ongoing investigation.

The make and model of guns involved in these accidents was not reported.  Once again, it is unclear why guns are made that small children can fire.  Similarly, there is no way to know why the guns weren’t safely stored.
