In Chandler, Arizona, Jordan Taylor was arrested after accidentally shooting his wife. According to Taylor, he and his wife were new gun owners. One of their guns fired while he was cleaning it and struck his wife in the chest. She later died at the hospital.
Taylor claimed that the same weapon had also accidentally fired on two prior occasions in the last week.
There were two children at home at the time of the incident. Although the police department announced, “[p]reliminary information revealed this was an accidental discharge of a rifle while it was being cleaned,” Taylor was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder.
