For the third day in a row, a child was accidentally shot in East Texas by another child.  In Joaquin, Texas, 17-year old Heston Avery accidentally shot and killed his teenage friend, whose name was not reported. 

At the time of the shooting, Avery called for emergency help, but deputies pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  Avery was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide.
