Adult Arrested Child Death (18 and Under) Pennsylvania

A family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is mourning the death of three-year old Chassity Clancy who was shot to death in a gun accident in her home.  According to reports, 51-year old Marlin Pritchard was babysitting and fell asleep next to Chassity with a loaded pistol grip shotgun under his pillow when the gun went off. He woke to find Chassity had been shot and killed.  Pritchard was charged with criminal homicide, child endangerment and various weapons offenses.  Among other things, he is a convicted felon who was barred from having a gun. 

Her adult cousin told reporters, “She was an angel to everybody. When you see her it was like ‘oh my gosh, who is this baby with fuzzy socks, tulle pants, and beads with tulle in her hair.”  He added, it was a traumatic loss, a shocking loss, but God is good and God is going to see us through it all.”

Police are still investigating.
