Adult Injury Kentucky No Charges Filed

In Prestonburg, Kentucky, a messenger for an armored car service was shot when his gun accidentally discharged while he was making a drop at a Big Lots store in a strip mall.  “His weapon became lodged between himself and items he was carrying,” according to Prestonburg police detective Ross Shurtleff. “While it was lodged between him and those items he was carrying, the firearm discharged- striking him in the abdomen.”

 The injured messenger was airlifted to a trauma center in West Virginia, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Video footage confirmed that the shooting was an accident.
