Four People Injured in Gun Accidents

A six-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the arm in a home in Conway, South Carolina. It appears his injuries are not life-threatening. The case is still active.

Police are investigating an accidental shooting that injured a juvenile in Lumberton, North Carolina. It appears the victim shot themself in the abdomen.

In Michigan City, Indiana, a 17-year-old boy was grazed in the head by an accidental discharge from a gun handled by a 15-year-old. He was treated at the hospital and released. The two teens and another 17-year-old had two 9 mm handguns with them, when the 15-year-old unintentionally fired a round that struck the victim. Police determined that one of the guns had been reported stolen. The 15-year-old was charged with criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm; both uninjured boys were charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm and dangerous possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

And in Waldorf, Maryland, a man accidentally shot himself in the foot with a shotgun that discharged when it fell. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the incident.
