Seven-year-old Girl Killed in Accidental Shooting

Police released little information about the deadly accidental shooting that killed seven-year-old Alayah Terrell in a home in Milford Mill, Maryland. Alayah was shot in the upper body, and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Neighbors said that a man in his 30s had recently moved into the home with his grandfather, and that they never saw any children there. Apparently Alayah was visiting from out of state, but it is unknown why she was there or what her relationship was to the two men. Officials did say that Alayah was shot at least once, and there were adults in the home at the time. An autopsy is pending.
