Seven-year-old Boy Fatally Shot by Three-year-old Brother

In Ferris, Texas, a three-year-old boy found a loaded gun and shot and killed his seven-year-old brother, Treshawn Moore. Four adults were also at home at the time of the shooting. Relatives took Treshawn to the hospital were he was pronounced dead. “It was just one gunshot to the abdomen, and unfortunately our little one is deceased,” said another family member.
Takievon Holmes, age 24, fled the scene with the firearm, but was later apprehended. He and his girlfriend admitted that they brought the gun into the house. They were both arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, making a firearm available to a juvenile, and tampering with evidence.
From a GoFundMe page, Treshawn “…loved playing video games, spending time with family and friends, and playing football. His smile, laughter, and kind spirit will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.”
Multiple law enforcement departments are investigating the shooting.
