Man Seriously Injured by Stray Bullet
In Paynesville, Minnesota, 78-year-old James Poirot was seriously injured by a stray bullet that struck him on the side of his face and head while he was driving in his car. He pulled up to a deputy’s parked squad car for assistance, and was eventually airlifted to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Investigators believe the bullet came from someone target shooting on private property nearby. They collected evidence and continue to investigate the incident.
