12-year-old Boy Accidentally Shot and Killed by Friend

In his home in Atlanta, Georgia, 12-year-old Cameron Coney was accidentally shot and killed by a 14-year-old friend. Some of Cameron’s friends had came over that day and brought a gun with them. “It was told that one of them pointed a gun at all of the friends in there, and when he got to Cameron – the gun was touching Cameron’s chest – and he shot. He pulled the trigger,” said Cameron’s aunt. The gun was recovered, and the 14-year-old boy was charged with murder.

Cameron, affectionately called “Big Cam” by his family, liked to make people laugh. From a GoFundMe page, “He loved football, attended Long Middle School, and was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him.”
