Two More Floridians Killed in Accidental Shootings
A man died after unintentionally shooting himself in a car near an elementary school in Port St. John, Florida. The people in the car were headed to the school to pick up their grandchild. The shooting did not occur on school property, but the school was placed under a temporary shelter in place while deputies began their investigation.
And in Cantonment, Florida, a 16-year-old was fatally shot when a gun held by 19-year-old Ethan O’Brien unintentionally discharged. Officials determined that O’Brien was showing off his gun during a large gathering of people when it fired. He fled the scene and is wanted on a charge of manslaughter through negligence.
