A Nine-year-old and Two Women are Victims in Gun Accidents
A 9-year-old Brooklyn Park, Minnesota boy is expected to survive after he was shot in the head by his younger brother. The victim’s 7-year-old brother found a loaded handgun in their home and was handling the weapon when it discharged, according to police. There is an ongoing investigation.
Two women were also victims of gun accidents. 35-year-old Tracey Weaver of Kosciusko, Mississippi, was killed in an incident that the sheriff’s office has called accidental. No further details have been reported. And 34-year-old John Harris of Memphis, Tennessee faces four counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after a stolen AR-15 went off inside his home, wounding his girlfriend. Police say 1-year-old twins and a toddler were in the living room with the victim when she was shot in the leg.
