No Charges to be Filed After 10-year-old Dies in Gun Accident
The sheriff in Calhoun County, Mississippi announced that no charges will be filed after Oaklee Brasher, a 10-year-old boy, died in an accidental shooting today. No other information about the circumstances of the incident have been released.

In Louisville, Kentucky, a police officer on the scene of an alleged break-in to a vacant garage, pulled a service weapon that purportedly discharged accidentally and struck two teenagers. Officers claimed to have pulled their weapons due to “multiple unknown threats.” Both teens are expected to survive. The mayor stated that he is “relieved none of the officers involved were hurt and that the juveniles involved were not more seriously injured.”
In Wichita, Kansas, a 33-year-old man was shot at a local motel. Police concluded that a handgun that an acquaintance had in his waistband dropped and fired, striking the victim in the abdomen.
And two other teens handling weapons accidentally shot themselves, one in Hopkinville, Kentucky, the other in Fort Worth, Texas. Both teens are expected to survive. Neither report includes information about how the teenagers accessed guns.
