Girl Mistakes Real Gun for BB Gun, and Husband Shoots Wife in Gun Cleaning Accident

Daejion Grant, 16, was unintentionally shot and killed by a 14-year-old girl in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The girl thought she was holding a BB gun, but it was instead a real handgun. She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and is cooperating with police. "Daejion isn't just a statistic," a family friend said. "He was loved by his entire family, immediate and extended."

In Bolingbrook, Illinois, 60-year-old Laurie Hendrickson was shot and killed by her husband, when a gun he was cleaning accidentally fired, striking her. After shooting his wife, Simeon Hendrickson, 61, intentionally shot himself and died at the scene; his wife died at the hospital.
