In Granbury, Texas, a one-year old child accidentally shot an infant sibling and their mother in a Walmart parking lot.   Both mother and child are expected to survive.

The 23-year-old mother of the children “was standing outside of the driver's door of their vehicle,” according to witnesses. The childrens’ father was behind the truck.  “[T]he one-year-old child picked up a handgun that was concealed between the seat and the center console. The gun fired once, police said, and the bullet went through the three-month-old child's leg, through the mother's arm and into the side of her chest.”

A 31-year old Wamego, Kansas woman is fighting for her life after she too was shot in the chest by “her small child.”  The case has been referred to the County Attorney to determine if charges are appropriate.

And in Spruce Pine, North Carolina,  a 2-year-old got a pistol out of his parents' nightstand and shot himself in the leg.  There is an ongoing investigation.
