    Tykeese Dondasse

Tykeese Dondasse, age 5, of Columbus, Ohio and his mother were visiting his aunt today, when the boy found a loaded gun at his aunt’s house and shot himself in the head.  The gun belonged to his aunt’s boyfriend, who had left the gun on a bed while playing video games.

According to the report, Tykeese is recovering at the hospital, but will need surgery to repair his skull.  “That was the best thing seeing him open up his eyes this morning and my hand. It's just been an eye-opener,” his Mom said. “It's all in God's hands. The doctor says he won't be able to do this or that, but my son is a fighter.”

The gun’s owner, Tyonte Diggs, age 24, initially fled the home. He later returned to the scene and was taken into custody. He is facing a charge of endangering children.
