In Roanoke, Virginia, a “juvenile” was killed in a gun accident along a local street. Although circumstances of the accident have not been released, those involved are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

An Arkansas City, Kansas man shot himself in the leg while attempting to clean his 9 millimeter pistol. Such accidents often occur because the disassembly process requires a trigger pull. "When accidental discharges occur, it brings to the forefront the need for safety as it pertains to proper handling and unloading of firearms before cleaning," the local police Chief said.

A 16-year old driving a truck in Omaha, Nebraska accidentally shot himself in the leg, according to authorities, during a crash between the truck he was driving and another vehicle. The boy’s vehicle had run a red light. He gave the gun to a passenger who fled on foot.

An 18-year old Chicago, Illinois teen shot himself in the groin while attempting to pull a handgun on the street. He is expected to survive.
