Four-year-old Finds Gun and Shoots Himself in the Head
A four-year-old boy is in critical condition after shooting himself in the head with a gun he found at home in Houston, Texas. The loaded, unsecured gun was kept in a closet, and it was reported that the boy has autism and is non-verbal. His mother’s fiancé, 26-year-old Nicholas Zepeda-Quntanilla, owned the gun and has been charged with injury to a child/criminal negligence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. It is unclear if the boy’s mother will also be charged.
