Innocent Bystander Shot While Having Dinner With Family

A woman eating dinner with her family outside her apartment in Houston, Texas, was accidentally shot during a drive-by shooting. A person was running through the parking lot when, “[a] vehicle driving westbound on Glenmont started to shoot toward that individual, and just so happened, an innocent bystander, which was one of the members of the family, was struck in the stomach one time,” said a police lieutenant. The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening. Officials are investigating and hope that surveillance footage will identify the shooter.
