Five-year-old Boy Shot and Killed Himself With Sister’s Gun

In Chicago, Illinois, five-year-old Demeir Douglas found his sister’s gun and fatally shot himself in the head. Danya Bell, age 29, was visiting her family, and had placed her purse containing the loaded gun under some toys in Demeir’s bedroom before taking a shower. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Bell is a concealed carry license holder. She was charged with child endangerment causing death.
