Toddler Killed After Finding Gun on Bed
In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three-year-old Kenari Windom accessed a black pistol lying on a bed that discharged, fatally striking the toddler in the abdomen. The alleged gun owner, 22-year-old Anthony Grizzard Jr., was dating the roommate of Kenari’s mother. Both of them were in the bedroom with another adult at the time of the shooting, and Grizzard was playing a video game with the gun next to him when the child got ahold of it. “It has yet to be determined whose hand was on the firearm when it went off, but the shot resulted in the gunshot wound to the three-year-old’s abdomen,” according to an affidavit. Grizzard fled the scene, but was arrested the next day, and booked on complaints of second-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
