Three-year-old Dies After Finding Gun in Grandparent’s Home

A three-year-old child found a loaded gun In his grandparent’s house in Antioch, California, and shot and killed himself. According to neighbors, the toddler often stayed with his grandparents during the week. A neighbor spoke after seeing the body of the child being taken from the home. “He was limp. His little head was rolled back. It’s shocking. We couldn’t believe that this could happen, but it did. You don’t leave a loaded gun around, ever. I’m not criticizing them because they are beautiful people and horrible mistakes happened. I’m sure they are going to be in hell for a long time. Something likes this shatters your world,” she said. Police didn’t say if any charges will be filed, as officials continue to investigate.
