Man Accidentally Shoots Self, Airlifted to Hospital

A 61-year-old man in George, Washington, was airlifted to the hospital for treatment after he accidentally shot himself in the torso. Deputies recovered the gun used and interviewed witnesses, concluding that the man may have suffered a mental health crisis causing him to fire his gun in the air, and then accidentally to shoot himself when he fell on the ground. The prosecutor’s office will determine if any charges will be filed.
