Female University Student Wounded by Stray Bullet
In New Brunswick, New Jersey, two university students were injured when a fight on a sidewalk escalated into gunfire that struck at least two apartments and a restaurant. One of the victims was a woman, who was inside her home when she was hit by a stray bullet. Both of the injured students were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Ten minutes [after hearing gunfire] we realize that there are holes in our walls,” another student said. “Everyone is ok, but there are holes in our walls, and I don’t know if I want to live her next semester or next year.”
It was determined that the woman was struck by gunfire that came from a vehicle, and police were able to identify and apprehend the suspected shooter, Christian Farmer, 22, and two other men involved in the incident. All three face multiple charges.
