Five People Injured in Gun Accidents, Including a 2-year-old
At a gas station in Gulfport, Mississippi, a 2-year-old found an unsecured, loaded gun and shot themself. The child was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital. It is unclear how the child got possession of the gun, and no other information has been reported at this time.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being accidentally shot in a residence in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Police released no other information in this ongoing investigation.
Adrian Moore, 41, accidentally shot himself, then drove to the police station parking lot in Covington, Tennessee, before passing out. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Moore told police he tried to turn on the gun’s flashlight when it unintentionally fired. Detectives are investigating the incident, and trying to determine where the shooting took place.
And in a playground in Newburgh, New York, two boys, aged 16 and 17, unintentionally shot themselves while playing around with guns. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other information was reported.
