Unintentional Shootings Leave One Man Dead, Three Others Injured
At a campground in Bristol, Tennessee, one man was killed, and another injured in what police called a “negligent discharge of a firearm.” Few details have been reported, and neither man has been identified, as detectives continue to investigate.
In Bonney Lake, Washington, according to his father, a 30-year-old man unintentionally shot himself while cleaning his gun. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police took custody of the gun which appeared to have dried blood on it. The son is a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing firearms. Prosecutors will review charges.
And in Baytown, Texas, a 38-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the cheek while at a drive-thru. He was airlifted to the hospital, though his status is not known, and no other information has been reported. The case is being investigated.
