Three Teenage Girls Injured in Shootings
In two separate incidents in which there was limited reporting about the shooter’s intended victims, three teenage girls, who appear to have been innocent bystanders, were shot and injured.
In Goldsboro, North Carolina, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old were both shot and injured in an incident in which their mother may have been targeted. The 12-year-old remains hospitalized. “The kids were all right here and as soon as I walked out the door I sat down in the chair right there, and I saw them walking over right this way. Next thing I know I hear gunshots,” a neighbor said. “They ran behind me.” The girls’ mother was also injured in the shooting. The shooter’s motives and intention are unclear and there is an ongoing investigation.
In Bradenton, Florida, a 13-year-old girl was shot in the parking lot outside her home. Another man in the parking lot returned fire and struck the shooter. However, the girl remains hospitalized.
