13-year-old Boy Dies in Accidental Shooting

In a wooded area near a park in Moorhead, Minnesota, a group of children were handling a loaded gun when it accidentally fired, killing 13-year-old Zain Mezher. Police recovered the gun and are investigating how the children obtained it. It’s unclear if any charges will be filed.

“The incident is tragic, and our sympathies go out to the family and friends of those involved,” the Moorhead Police Department said in a news release.
