Four-year-old Finds Relative’s Loaded Gun and Shoots One-year-old Brother

In Houston, Texas, a 4-year-old boy found an unsecured gun in his home and unintentionally shot his 1-year-old brother. The victim underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to his leg and is expected to survive. The gun’s owner is a relative staying at the home and the children’s father told local reporters that the 4-year-old liked to play with toy guns and was likely unaware that he had found a real one. Police continue to investigate and it will be determined if any charges will be filed.
