Teenager Lies to Police After Accidental Shooting Himself

In Rock Island, Illinois, a 14-year-old who had suffered a gunshot wound told police that he and a friend had been walking through an alley when someone shot him in the leg.  Police learned later that the boy had accidentally shot himself while mishandling a gun inside a home.  The boy’s injuries are not considered life threatening.
