Boy Accidentally Shot by Friend Who Didn’t Know Gun Was Loaded

In Menifee, California, a 17-year-old boy was shot by his friend, Jesse Duncan, 19, during horseplay with a gun.  “A preliminary investigation revealed [that four boys] were horseplaying with the firearm,” a police Captain said. “While horseplaying, and believing the firearm was not loaded, [Duncan] pulled the trigger, striking the victim in the upper torso.” 

The teenage victim died at the scene.  Duncan was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.
