Gun Goes Off in a Man’s Pocket and His 12-year-old Son Is Shot
In an incident caught on surveillance video at a Chicago, Illinois gas station, a man is shown putting his hand into his pocket and accidentally firing a gun he was carrying there. His son, age 12, was shot, but is expected to survive. The man involved in the incident, Martin Guest, has been questioned by local police and charged with reckless discharge. “It’s crazy. It’s really, really crazy,” a gas station employee said. “How would that happen? The gun should be locked.”
According to the report, “at least 27 children have been shot in Chicago since Jan. 1, 2023, three fatally.”
