Quezariah Jackson, age three, of Kansas City, Missouri, was shot and killed on Christmas Eve. Police have released few details of the incident other than to state that the killing was unintentional and that they are not looking for any suspects.
Cesar Montelongo, 53, a Grand Prairie, Texas maintenance worker was found lying on a resident’s balcony at an apartment complex with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died. Detectives believe that Montelongo was checking balconies for frozen and broken waterlines after several pipes had burst, when a resident mistook him for a burglar trying to break in. The resident allegedly grabbed his gun and shot Montelongo through a window. According to the report, the shooter has not been charged, but the case will be heard by a grand jury.
