In Indianapolis, Indiana, a man was cleaning a gun when it accidentally discharged striking a woman in the foot.  A 9 mm round was found beneath a window next to a bed, according to the report.

In Oak Hill, West Virginia, a man was playing with a gun when it discharged. He struck himself in the hand. Deputies believe the man may have been intoxicated. Afterwards, the local Sheriff reminded people of some basic principles of gun safety. People should treat every firearm as if it is loaded, he said. “Never point a firearm at anyone or anything that you aren’t intending to shoot. Alcohol and firearms do not mix; if you’re going to be drinking, put your firearm in a safe location.”
