In Rockford, Illinois,  a six-year-old child found an unattended loaded gun and fired it, striking a 28-year-old woman.  The woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Khadijah Morris, 28, and Ashley Laures, 29, were charged with endangering the life and health of a child. Recently, on November 20, another Rockford six-year-old found a loaded gun and shot and killed himself.

In Shreveport, Louisiana, two twelve-year-olds were playing with a gun when it fired and struck one of them in the arm. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
