On Thanksgiving Day, a two-year-old and a 19-year-old were unintentionally shot and injured.
A Peoria, Illinois two-year-old has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The news report of the incident implies that he found a loaded gun in his home on Thanksgiving evening and used it to shoot himself. Jordan Parker, a 24-year-old, was arrested and charged with child endangerment.
In Wichita, Kansas, a 20-year-old man “negligently discharged” a firearm. A 19-year-old woman was struck in the torso and is in critical condition at the hospital. The man was was charged with reckless aggravated battery.
