22-year old Christopher Jordan of Fresno, California was arrested after he accidentally shot and killed his girlfriend, Deisha Guzman, age 20, at a local Hampton Inn hotel. Jordan initially claimed that he placed his gun on the bed and that Guzman had shot herself.
After questioning, Jordan admitted that he accidentally fired the gun, striking Guzman where she lay on a couch, officers say. He thought the gun was unloaded because he had removed the magazine. Jordan was charged with involuntary manslaughter and negligent discharge of a firearm.
“She was my everything,” her mother said. “I am going to miss her so much. She was my baby princess.”
