At the state police academy in New Braintree, Massachusetts, a state police trainee shot himself in the leg during a training. The gun discharged while the trainee was holstering it. The injury is not considered life-threatening.

In Molino, Florida, a 17-year old with a gun at a party shot himself in the leg while attempting to remove a gun from his pants pocket.  He is also expected to survive. “No disturbance” was reported at the residence where the incident occurred.
