Four people were injured today, including three children, by shots fired indiscriminately into their homes from the street.  All were presumably innocent bystanders.

In Meridian, Mississippi, an elderly woman and a five-year old child were victims of a drive-by shooting in which rounds passed into their home.  Police are investigating.  Both are expected to survive.

And in St. Louis, Missouri, a ten-year old and a 14-year old were struck by rounds that a witness says were fired outside. Both girls are in critical condition and police have no suspects.  According to the report, “[t]he girls are estimated to be the 61st and 62nd children shot in St. Louis in 2022.”
