In Hickory, North Carolina, a four-year old boy suffered serious injuries after shooting himself with a loaded gun he found in his home.  “This is a tragic situation and our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time,” the police department said in a statement.  The boy remains in critical condition at the hospital.
