A gun accident in Mobile, Alabama led to hospital treatment for two teenagers.  The younger of the two was attempting to disassemble the gun when it fired.  He was struck in the hand and the other teen was struck in the knee.  They arrived at the hospital separately and police later concluded that the incidents were related.

The story does not describe the type of gun involved in the incident or why it was designed in a way that allows it to be fired during the disassembly process.
