A 22-year old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania woman was accidentally shot in the face when a man pulled a gun to attempt to shoot a dog that had attacked a five-year old child.  The man fired a round that ricocheted and struck the woman rather than the dog.  The child suffered bite wounds to the face and legs. No word about the fate of the dog.
