Dillan Burton, age 7, of New Orleans, Louisiana was struck and killed by gunfire while in the back seat of her mother’s car.  The family was driving through an intersection at the time of the incident when gunfire broke out on the street.  Dillan, an innocent bystander was struck by a bullet passing into the vehicle.  The rest of the family was unharmed.

“What could a 7-year-old possibly have done to be a victim of such a heinous crime as this?” a Police Superintendent asked.  No suspects are in custody.
