A 12-year-old Michigan boy was seriously injured Monday when he was accidentally shot by his 17-year old brother after  being mistaken for a deer.  Sheriff’s deputies said the older boy was hunting from a tree stand when his younger brother came into the woods to call him to dinner.  The 12-year old is in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.

In Clinton, Louisiana, two teens were playing with a semiautomatic pistol in the parking lot of a local grocery store when it went off.  The injured 15-year old is in serious condition at the hospital.  The 16-year-old has been charged with negligent injuring, illegal discharge of a firearm within city limits, and illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile.  The report is silent on where they got the gun.
