At least two fatal gun accidents occurred today.
In Pineville, Kentucky, Kyle Garrett, a 23-year old 911 dispatcher was accidentally shot and killed while trading guns with another dispatcher. The two men were best friends and cousins who frequently traded guns. According to local authorities, there were protocols in place to prevent non-sworn employees, including dispatchers from bringing guns to work.
In San Antonio Texas, a 16-year old boy and a 20-year old man were playing with a high-powered rifle in the living room of a local home. The gun went off and the 20-year old was killed. The boy was later arrested and charged with manslaughter.
