In Memphis, Tennessee, two teenagers have been charged with crimes after a third teenager was unintentionally shot to death.  None of the children have been identified.

The report suggests that a 16-year old boy and girl were hanging out with a 17-year old.  The 16-year old boy apparently produced  a gun and provided it to the girl.  The 17-year old was accidentally shot. 

The 16-year old boy is charged with being a juvenile in possession of a gun. The girl is charged with reckless homicide.  It is unclear how the boy got the gun and whether the gun possessed the type of safety features, like a prominent loaded chamber indicator, that may have alerted the girl to a round in chamber before she pulled the trigger.
