A mother of four was killed today in Brooklyn, New York when gunfire erupted.  Limose Dort, a recent immigrant from Haiti, was returning from work as a home health aide when she was shot several times in the chest.

“Think about your mom, think about your family, how much they mean to you, it’s the same thing for everybody,” her son said. “You killed my mom, there’s no way I’m going to get her back.”

A 30-year old man, who may have been the intended target, was also shot and injured in the incident, but he is not cooperating with police. The investigation makes clear that Dort was another innocent bystander to gun violence.
