Negligence with guns appears to have been the cause of at least two deaths today.  In both incidents, the shooter is likely to be prosecuted.

In Thibodaux, Louisiana, a teenager was shot and killed when he and a friend were playing with a handgun.  An unidentified 15-year old is charged with negligent homicide.

And in Houston, Texas, two men are in custody after a negligent discharge incident killed a third man inside an apartment.  The report indicates that the District Attorney is likely to collect evidence to present to a grand jury.
