Four children were injured today in three incidents in which bullets fired outdoors entered their homes. It appears that the children were all innocent bystanders to gun violence.
In Cleveland Heights, Ohio, a 13-year old from Wisconsin was struck and killed while standing inside the home where he was visiting. It is unclear why shots had been fired in a backyard several houses away. Police are investigating but have no suspects.
In Kansas City, Missouri, a child described as under the age of ten was also struck inside his home by shots fired outside. His mother drove him to the hospital and he is expected to survive. Police are requesting tips from the public.
Two children were injured in St. Louis, Missouri, aged five and nine, when suspects starting firing at a 41-year old man as he opened the door to his home. The children are both listed in stable condition. Two men were taken into custody.
