In High Point, North Carolina, a four-year old boy found a gun underneath a couch cushion and shot himself in the head. He later died at the hospital.  His mother, Jasmine Eagan, has been charged with felony child abuse.

Several adults were in the home at the time of the incident.  According to the report, they were in the next room when the child shot himself, drinking, smoking marijuana and playing cards.
